Prominent Algerian singer Wardah strongly denied rumors in Egyptian and Arab newspapers have been writing that she is retiring from singing and acting and moving back to her mother country Algeria.
According to the London daily Elaph, Wardah states that this is the second time that the same rumor comes out and she made it very clear when she was a guest on Mahmoud Saed show that she is not retiring. Wardah’s interview with Mahmoud Saed was right after her last TV drama series “Aan Al Awan” (Its Time) was aired last Ramadan.
Back then Wardah made clear that she will not retire and she still stands behind what she said. Wardah compares show business to the air that she breaths and states that it floats in her blood, which means that she can’t live without it.
As for the time being Wardah is listening to new songs with young composers, which she has not worked with before. Wardah is working on a video clip for her song “A’az Al Walad” (The Favored Son), which is written by Jamal Bakhit and composed by Salah Al Sharnobi. The song is from Wardah’s TV drama series “Ana Al Awan” (Its Time) album.
Wardah has a new grandson named Jamal and he is 4 months old. Wardah adds that she is living the time of her life and her childhood, which she can’t remember anything of. Wardah also adds that she listen to new music singers like “Angham, Shireen, Asala, Fadel Shaker, Marwan Khoury Hussein Al Jismi, Saber El Riba’i and she loves the voice of Amal Maher”.
On repeating her acting experience after the failure of her last drama series, Wardah adds that she is waiting for the right drama that suits her and it will add to her acting career whether its on television or on the big screen. She also wishes to work with Goodnews Production Company, which is owned by Imad Al Deen Adeeb. She adds that it is a good production company that respects those who they work with.
Wardah still has connections with her colleagues who are in show business. She will spend Ramadan in Cairo, because she thinks that Cairo is the best place where she can get a true feeling of the holy month.
