Egyptian singer/ composer/ actor Hisham Abbas will be experiencing acting on television for the first time. Abbas will be on the new comedy drama series “Libs Mubasher” (Getting Dressed On The Spot).

Abbas showed his interest in the drama series and decided on taking the role, which was offered to him. The script is written by Jomah Qabil and there will be a number of comedian actors like: Khayria Ahmad, Rojina, Siham Jalal and the Lebanese singer/ actress Marwa.

According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, the drama series is a combined production between Sawt Al Qahira (Cairo’s Voice) Production Company and a satellite channel. The Series will be a set of 30 episodes that discusses the lives and problems of the Egyptian and Arab people.

One of the issues, which will be discussed, is the problem that many families face where lots of satellite channels rely on people getting charged for calling to get a prize. Abbas plays the role of Ahmad Al Masri who works at a library and gets in one of the TV game shows via phone. Ahmad tries to win first prize, which is a million dollar, yet his family has to get on with the show and be on air for a full month. Ahmad realizes that he is turning into a selling product for advertisement companies.
